I grew up Catholic, following after a long line of both German-American and Indian Catholics in my family. As a child, I attended many different schools until I finally settled at Cistercian Preparatory School here in Irving. At Cistercian, I found a place where I could flourish intellectually and spiritually with an amazing community of brothers alongside me. As I continued in high school, I began to feel a draw to deepen my relationship with Christ. After pursuing my faith through Steubenville conferences, retreats, mission trips, and my amazing youth group at St. Ann, I decided to apply to seminary!

My grandfather was at a monastery for 7 years before he discerned marriage—then he and my grandmother had 16 kids!
