There was always something more. Through school, jobs, adventures, and even other ministry work, there was also something that left me hungering for more. Within my own poverty of heart and my own attempts at meeting people in theirs, what I could offer on my own was never enough. As I journey deeper into my heart through His, everything I desire for myself and others is Him. If this indeed is His will for me, what a privilege to know, love, and serve Him, the someone who is more than enough.
Favorite Quote or Bible Verse
“We cannot do everything, and there is a sense of liberation in realizing that. This enables us to do something, and to do it very well. It may be incomplete, but it is a beginning, a step along the way, an opportunity for the Lord’s grace to enter and do the rest. We may never see the end results, but that is the difference between the master builder and the worker. We are workers, not master builders; ministers, not messiahs. We are prophets of a future not our own.” – Prayer from a homily of Cardinal Dearden
